Vacancy available: we are hiring a bricklayer in Coventry, England. You will be based at a residential building site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Day to day you will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. Rotating shifts. £14 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
