Gas meter installer — Wrexham

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Wrexham, Wales. You will be based in a gas distribution network. What we are looking for: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders On the job you will handle: • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points 2+ years on the tools preferred.
