Panel welder wanted in Madison County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Madison County, Iowa. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. On a typical shift you will read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Willing to work shifts and overtime We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts.
