Now hiring: we are hiring a garment presser in Madison County, North Carolina. The role involves clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Rotating shifts.
