Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Putnam County, West Virginia. Day to day you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
