Crane rigger wanted in Matagorda County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane rigger in Matagorda County, Texas. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather On a typical shift you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
