Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator in Mecosta County, Michigan. You will be based at a busy manufacturing plant. You should have: • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery On a typical shift you will monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing; change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers; clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line; carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station.
