Commis chef wanted in Charlevoix County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a commis chef in Charlevoix County, Michigan. The job is in a hotel kitchen. On a typical shift you will check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
