Punch press operator — Macoupin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a punch press operator in Macoupin County, Illinois. You will work on the press shop floor. On the job you will handle: • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings What we are looking for: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Rotating shifts.
