Die-casting operator • Peoria County, Illinois

Now hiring: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Peoria County, Illinois. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Full-time with occasional weekends.
