TIG welder — Gateshead

Vacancy available: we are hiring a TIG welder in Gateshead, England. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
