Pipe TIG welder • Dodge County, Minnesota

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Dodge County, Minnesota. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
