Argon arc welder — Jefferson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $3,700 per month plus benefits.
