Vacancy available: we are hiring a presser in Stephenson County, Illinois. On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Rotating shifts. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
