Concrete worker wanted in Worth County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Worth County, Iowa. The job is at a precast concrete yard. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers The role involves: • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
