The role involves update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry.
