Gas service engineer — Hart County

Join our team: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Hart County, Kentucky. You will be based at a heating and plumbing contractor. The role involves: • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls Requirements: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Driving licence for travel between sites • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Six days a week, one day off.
