Vacancy available: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Shelby County, Tennessee. The job is on a busy construction site. The role involves carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; read and interpret the load chart before every lift. What we are looking for: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Six days a week, one day off.
