The role involves: • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions Ideal candidate: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Own basic hand tools • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
