Sample machinist — Montezuma County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Montezuma County, Colorado. Day to day you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
