Immediate opening: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Cameron County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Day-to-day duties: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
