Furnace operator — Jackson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Jackson County, Colorado. You will work on the moulding line. You will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
