Immediate opening: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a glazing and fabrication factory. What we are looking for: • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads Day to day you will clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
