Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On a typical shift you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together.
