Sample machinist — Clark County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sample machinist in Clark County, Kentucky. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. The role involves: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits.
