Safety inspector • Douglas County, Kansas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety inspector in Douglas County, Kansas. Day-to-day duties: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points You should have: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
