Brickwork mason • Brazoria County, Texas

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Brazoria County, Texas. You will be based at a residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 2+ years on the tools preferred.
