Tower crane operator — Pitt County

Join our team: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Pitt County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands. You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Full-time, day shift.
