Overlocker operator — White County

Join our team: we are hiring an overlocker operator in White County, Illinois. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You will thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
