Reinforcement steel fixer — Johnson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Johnson County, Texas. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Day to day you will place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
