Pipe TIG welder — Bayfield County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Bayfield County, Wisconsin. You will work on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Day to day you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends.
