Construction helper • Franklin County, Virginia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a construction helper in Franklin County, Virginia. You will be based on a metro and infrastructure project. Day to day you will cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean. You should have: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
