Now hiring: industrial sewing operator (Vermont)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Addison County, Vermont. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You should have: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines You will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
