Brickwork mason — Dade County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Dade County, Missouri. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding On a typical shift you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder.
