Heavy equipment operator — Rutland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Rutland County, Vermont. On a typical shift you will strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels. Requirements: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence Full-time, day shift.
