Lathe programmer-operator — Herefordshire

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Herefordshire, England. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred You will deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; run first-off inspection and sign off the part; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54). At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £2,400 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off.
