Garment machinist — Clayton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Clayton County, Georgia. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. On a typical shift you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
