Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Iowa County, Wisconsin. Your main tasks: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 3+ years on the tools preferred.
