We are recruiting: we are hiring a bread and bun maker in Bedford, England. The job is at a café with an on-site bakery. What we are looking for: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Able to work early-morning and night shifts Day to day you will knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; score the top of loaves before baking; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. We offer £3,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
