Argon welder — Winston County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Winston County, Mississippi. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
