Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Schuyler County, New York. The job is on an earthmoving and excavation site. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures The role involves: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
