Restoration bricklayer — Jones County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Jones County, North Carolina. You will be based on a new-build development. The role involves forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
