Escalator technician — Calabar South

Immediate opening: we are hiring an escalator technician in Calabar South, Cross River State. You will be based on a lift modernisation project. On the job you will handle: • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
