Tyre bay technician — Calhoun County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tyre bay technician in Calhoun County, Illinois. You will be based at a roadside mobile fitting unit. Requirements: • Punctual and willing to work weekends • Comfortable working outdoors and in all weathers • Awareness of workshop health and safety The role involves: • Jack up vehicles safely and set them on axle stands • Vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres • Remove and refit hub caps and locking wheel nuts • Log fitments and advise customers on tyre wear and replacement • Check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear • Handle truck and bus tyres, including split-rim assemblies Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
