Core maker • Boone County, Nebraska

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Boone County, Nebraska. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
