Demolition labourer — Douglas County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a demolition labourer in Douglas County, Illinois. The job is with a civil contractor. On a typical shift you will hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction. You should have: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
