Cnc lathe operator • Newport, Wales

We are recruiting: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Newport, Wales. You will be based at an auto-components manufacturing unit. You will set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; write and edit G-code programs at the control; load and index turning tools in the turret; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers. You should have: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
