Tailor machinist — Grant County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Grant County, Nebraska. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges.
