Now hiring: we are hiring a single needle operator in Lawrence County, Illinois. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Day to day you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
