Vacuum press operator — Jasper County

Now hiring: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Jasper County, South Carolina. The job is at a garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
